This latte is so ridiculously easy to make that you’ll want to start a Lucky Charms latte cafe. Everyone will come to your cafe because the lattes are incredibly Instagramable and you’ll forever be known as the Lucky Charms latte girl/guy. I kid, I kid. But these lattes are easy to make, taste great, and are super pretty.
I went ahead and made a quick cereal milk a la Christina Tosi, but if you’re in need of a latte, fast, you can just go with regular milk. Heck, if you’re in a real hurry, you should pack a little baggie of Lucky Charms marshmallows, hit up your favorite cafe, order a latte, throw the marshmallows on top, and call it a day. No judgement.
Almost as fast would be making this latte at home: soak some cereal in milk, strain, make an espresso, steam the cereal milk, then top off with marshmallows. Just as good as the cafe version and you didn’t even need to get out of your pjs.
How to Make a Lucky Charms Cereal Milk Latte
makes 1 latte
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup lucky charms, just the cereal
- 1-2 shots espresso
- sweetener, if desired
- 2 tablespoons lucky charms marshmallows
Soak the cereal in the milk for 5-10 minutes. Strain, then heat up milk and foam. You can gently warm the milk on the stove in a pan or use a steaming wand.
In a mug, pour the espresso, then top with the warmed cereal milk. Sweeten, if needed. Finish with the marshmallows and enjoy immediately.
