Winter time is ALL about those classic (and not so classic) sweet holiday treats so here are 12 sweet holiday treats to make and eat this winter. For me, it isn’t the holidays if I don’t spend a day (or five) making a bunch of sweet treats. I like to either a.) blast holiday music or b.) put on a never ending cycle of holiday movies or c.) stream Christmas cooking specials while I hang out in the kitchen, like some sort of deranged kitchen elf that absolutely must decorate just one more cookie even though it’s three in the morning and all the snowmen look like melted instead of cute. Cheers to the holiday spirit!
Pull Apart Winter Bread – soft and fluffy these bun would be wonderful for a little afternoon tea break for a magical holiday breakfast.
Peppermint Bark Crepe Cake – layers and layers of deleicate crepes sandwiching softly whipped cream, white chocolate and candy canes. SO GOOD.
Angel Food Cake Loaf – I love angel food cake and it feels very holiday to me, probably because it’s as white as snow :)
Peppermint Bark Cookies – crisp and chocolatey cookies dipped in white chocolate with a sprinkle of candy cane dust.
Marzipan Chocolate Chip Cookies – a classic with a holiday marzipan twist! Soft and chewy with loads of almond-y marzipan.
Festive Caramel Corn Rice Krispie Treat Mix – My two favorites: caramel corn AND mini rice krispie treats! The best of both worlds.
Corgi-Os – Chocolate biscuits sandwiching a white chocolate filling. Just like oreos, but homemade and corgi shaped!
Coconut Matcha Macaroons – chewy coconut macaroons with a matcha twist.
My Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie – because it’s probably Santa’s favorite too. No need to soften the butter, these guys use melted. Crisp edges, chewy insides, my ultimate fave!
Mini Gingerbread Houses – because it just isn’t the holidays without gingerbread!
Mint Marshmallow Snowmen – minty hot chocolate is the way to go and a melting snowman makes it that much more enjoyable.
Toffee Macadamia Nut Cookies – warm, butterscotch-y and studded with macadamia nuts.
Happy holiday baking friends! Tell me what you’re making this year!
