Hello! I’m back at it again with a recipe for Tiktok ramen. I’m pretty sure I’m addicted to Tiktok and all the viral food hacks they have – I’m HOOKED. This Tiktok ramen was too easy to not try. Plus, I had all the ingredients in the pantry so it made for a quick and satisfying lunch. It was delicious!
Tiktok ramen is saucy, slightly sweet, full of umami, and really good. The flavors kind of remind me of an extra garlicky version of one of my all time favorite instant noodles: Indomie Mi Goreng, which is a take on Indonesian fried noodles.
I feel like everyone has their own favorite way of making instant ramen. To be honest, I think instant ramen is one of the greatest inventions out there! The person who invented it, Momofuku Ando, a Taiwanese-Japanese inventor, has a quote that I love: Human beings are noodle beings.
I am definitely a noodle being and all I want to do is eat noodles and live that noodle life.
What is Tiktok ramen?
Tiktok ramen is where you use instant ramen noodles, ditch the seasoning packet, and make your own sauce. Unlike soup-y ramen, Tiktok ramen is a soup-less ramen, kind of like mazemen or sesame noodles. Ramen noodles are tossed in a garlic butter soy brown sugar sauce, cooked with an egg and finished with a sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning.
Does Tiktok ramen taste good?
In a word: YES! Tiktok ramen is sweet and savory with added richness from the butter and egg, and just a hint of spice. Super addictive.
How to make Tiktok ramen
- Cook your instant ramen. Don’t overcook it – mushy noodles are a travesty. Instant ramen should have an al dente bite. Pop the noodles into boiling water, set a timer, use a pair of chopsticks to loose the them up, and when the time is up, instantly drain them and set them aside. Pro tip: if you’re a true noodle lover, cook the noodles slightly less than the suggested cooking time, they will cook up a bit more while you’re tossing them in the sauce. This way you’ll have perfectly al dente noodles.
- Make the sauce. In a pan, heat up the butter over low heat. Add the garlic and cook until soft. Stir in the crushed red pepper, then the brown sugar and soy sauce.
- Toss. Add the drained noodles to the pan, turn up the heat, and toss to coat.
- Cook the egg. Push the noodles to one side and add an egg to the pan and scramble until just set.
- Serve. Place the noodles in a bowl and finish with sliced scallions and everything bagel spice. Enjoy hot!
Tiktok ramen ingredients
instant ramen – choose your favorite brand of instant ramen. The flavor doesn’t matter because you’re not going to use the seasoning packet. Our favorite noodles are Nong Shim Shin Ramyun because of how thick the noodles are.
- butter – just bit of butter is melted down to cook up some garlic.
- garlic – you need about 1 teaspoon of chopped or minced garlic. Or, if you’re a garlic lover, use as many cloves as you can handle.
- brown sugar – the brown sugar adds a bit of caramel sweetness and color. If you don’t have brown sugar, you can use regular sugar or even honey.
- soy sauce – use your favorite soy sauce – we like Yamasa or Kikkoman.
- crushed red pepper flakes – you can add as many chili flakes as you like or leave them out all together, depending on your spice tolerance.
- egg – throw an egg on it because ramen without an egg isn’t even ramen.
- everything bagel spice – make it rain everything bagel spice!
Why everything bagel spice?
Everything bagel spice is LIFE. Also, when you think about it, everything bagel spice is essentially furikake, which is Japanese rice seasoning. Furikake is a seasoning made up of toasted sesame seeds and seaweed and is eaten on rice and noodles. In Japan, they even have furikake chips. It makes sense that Tiktok ramen uses everything bagel spice to dress up ramen, after all they have sesame seeds in common.
How to make homemade everything bagel spice
If you don’t have any everything bagel spice, it’s super easy to mix up your own.
In a small bowl, mix together:
1.5 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
1 tbsp each poppy seeds, minced garlic, and minced onion
1 teaspoon coarse or flaky salt
Sprinkle it on everything!
Best ramen noodles
Our favorite brand of ramen is Nongshim, a Korean brand. They’re incredibly popular, both in Korea and all over the world. There’s actually a Nongshim noodle factory in LA and we visited it once. It was amazing! The chew and thickness of Nongshim noodles is just perfect. We usually buy either Shin Ramyun or Shin Black. Both have amazing texture.

“Your body is not a temple, it’s an amusement park. Enjoy the ride.” – Anthony Bourdain
such a great quote lisa, i totally agree and I have had many fun foods
This ramen was so nice for the grandkids too, lol but guys what is tiktok?
Really? That’s kind of narrow minded. I also know how to cook but have found a ton of fun, new and interesting recipes on TikTok. You’d be surprised how many come from at home cooks to professional chefs.
Not bad!!! I’m always looking for unique ways to eat ramen!
this shit was absolutely banging
I love this recipe, only thing I do different is, I use spaghetti noodles and double the sauce.
It was really super good I’m 12
You are very polite for an 11 year old, so please thank your parents for doing a great job!
Instructions unclear. My eggs are sentient now. Help!! I’m 16
I mostly just came to say that I am 30. Unrelated, The noodles were delicious
Great dish! I have 3 cats and they are 11, 4 and 3 – I am 30
this is very good I am 13 years old.
This was really good. I am 43 years old.
This is important to know. I am 37 years old.
added to much soy sauce it was good but im lonely and peak ting
I overcooked my Ramen a little, so I combatted that with a touch of reduced sodium soy sauce to give it more wet. I also added about a tsp of ssamjung and it was fantastic. Thank you! I am 30 years old.
This was very good. I am 25 years old.
This meal was lit. I’m 26 years old!
Doubled the recipe to make for two of us. It was good – not super filling but a tasty snack. We are both 26 years old (am I supposed to say that?)
?? Nelva apparently started a movement haha
Right?? I love it and I’m 40 😂😂
love this recipe… got a great laugh from the comment from Onix ” who KNOWS how to cook and is too good for Ramen noodles. people are funny.
The Recipe ROCKS. my hobby is cooking. I love to cook and this was fun. absolutely delicious. thank you for sharing.
Super quick and easy, very yummy!
I added a little sesame oil and garnished with some chopped green onion-otherwise, followed the recipe to a t. Absolutely amazing!! Oh, and I’m 31 years old ?
Any other ideas for seasonings? I’m allergic to sesame seeds so I can’t use everything bagel seasoning :(
hi cheryl,
you can make your own everything bagel minus sesame seeds (dried onions, dried garlic, poppy seeds) or you can skip out on the everything bagel and just sprinkle on some crispy onions! (the kind that go on green bean casserole)
Sprinkle sliced green onion on top!
This meal has many many carbs & lots of salt, so naturally it was delicious! I am 44 years old
Im 11, that was good.
I was inspired by the recipe. Made my own version tho. It was delicious. I am 36, my husband is 37, my kids are 6 and 1 am I missing anyone?
This is really good! I’m 30, and from Brazil.
love this recipe, i mix it with ramen seasoning that comes in the noodle packet, i just dial down the soy sauce and brown sugar by quite a bit, depending on the ramen. ill never tell u my age !!!
This was fire! And all 3 of my kids thought it was ” bussen…no caps?” Which I was told is a good thing. And I am 37 years old and my kids are 18 years old, 17 years old and 13 years old.
This meal was bomb as. I am 17 years old
Drizzle abit of kewpie mayo on top and see how this thing get another step up! Im 32!
this was peng. i am 24 years old
Tasty…. I’ll make this again, but I’d suggest to under cook the noodles just a smidge as they cook more once you get them in the soy. I’d also use low sodium soy as these came out a bit salty for my taste.
I used coconut aminos and deleted the brown sugar because they are a little sweeter. This was delicious and I’ll definitely make it again. I’m 51.
THIS WAS SO GOOD! i didnt follow the measurements bc i didnt see them😭 but i loved it!
Instant ramen has never tasted better! I am 65 million years old
Thank you for the giggle! I am 40 years old.
Added stir fried veggies and thinly sliced chicken breast… Excellent and quick meal! I’m 53! 😉
i am wondering if kecap manis (the indonesian version of soy sauce) can be substituted for brown sugar. 😋
ooh absolutely. you can use kecap manis instead of the soy sauce + brown sugar :)
OMG luv this. I am 14 yrs old
Love this! Quick and easy! I am 22 years old!
I’m 45 🙂 I’ve made this a few times. I add leftover rotisserie chicken into the sauce for a little more protein. I’ve also added peanut butter, which is really good and changes it up a little.
Also, I am a wimp when it comes to spicy things, so I sub ketchup for the hot sauce.
Good idea with the chicken, but I missed the hot sauce??! Otherwise, this is delicious & my age has nothing to do with it!! LOL. 🤣😂
this was very good. i am 18 years old.
Second time making this recipe! The ingredients are always simple enough to adjust to taste, like adding mayo on top! This was very good. I am 15 years old.
So I made this out of curiosity. It’s pretty good for being only a few cheap ingredients. Little spicy, little sweet, definitely filling (surprisingly) it could use a little acid like lime or vinegar. It’s fairly one dimensional but has loads of potential. Give it a try
nice its very good thanks
I havent tried this yet. I’m 29 years old
Insanely good, easy to prepare. Description is more than correct. I am 15 years old
i’m 28
Our household lives this recipe! We are 16,24,27,43 & 44 years old 😂
I just made this and its the sheet….and I’m 16060 days old! (new string)
It is still good… made it again. I am 44 years old now.
This is very good I am 48 years old.
This is the bomb! Did half the red pepper flakes, and used Mrs. Dash’s everything bagel (no salt) and garlic sesame seeds and topped with green onions! I’m 5 times 11.
Very good. I added chicken cooked in brown sugar and sesame seed oil. And green onion.
I am 37.
My partner NEVER cooks and decided to make this. Now I ask them to make it at least once a week! We are 29 and 33 🙂
Delicious. I also swapped the soya sauce for coconut aminos, and skipped the brown sugar. And I’m 41 years old. 😊
Hella hella good, im 33 years old
Hey, that’s pretty good. Def recommend to anyone looking for a change of pace. Will cook again…oh and I’m 32. I think.
I’m 39 and have 5 kids…. A 19yr, 17yr, 9yr, 7yr, and 5yr old, and we all Love this recipe!!

this meal was so good i did it in the microwave tho I’ve also done it on the pan there equally good (I cooked the egg on the stove)
it’s weird that people just discovered this recently… us Asian kids been making our own versions since forever (i’m 53 this year). also, Pro-Tip: that ramen packet you were about to discard? it’s great for scrambled eggs
THANK YOU I did this and it was SO good!!!
Amazing! My little secret that I don’t share with my kids or husband. Top it with some gochujang for additional heat. I’m 37 lol
Even better with a tad extra bagel spice! We all loved it. We are 2, 6, 37, and 70 years old.
This was very good… i’m 17.
I am fourty two years of age.
…OH, and more importantly, I loved this with sizzling Spam on the side!
Cheers!
This was so yummy! I am 55 years old
This was the bomb!! I am 15 by the way
The most amazing thing I’ve ever eaten. I haven’t been born yet.
I should have used some of the ramen water but she all gone. I am 31 in a week so…guess that makes me just 30…I like turtles.
I can’t lie. I didn’t make it. But it looks really good. I am 15 years old.
I am 15 :)
this was AMAZING!!! i even added some alterations because i realized i didn’t have soy sauce so i added about 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of sesame seed oil, and no egg. I loved it so much it is my new favorite meal. I am 12 years old :)
Haven’t tried the recipe yet but will soon….so many possibilities. Loved the comments made my day. Husband just turned 93 and I’ll soon be 87! How about that.
So good! Did a random google search for ramen recipes and found this one. So glad I did! Simple with a ton of flavor and heat. Added some chicken and green onions. *chef’s kiss* I am 42 years old
DELISHSHSHHSH omg its amazing 10/10 recommend

I’m 12 so good and I added ginger paste and saracha
this is really good I am 39 years old. i am also vegan so i used vegan butter and no egg topped with green onion.
If it wasn’t for the comments I probably wouldn’t have made it. It’s was good and I am 29 years old
LOL me too,,,thought it sounded gross. But even the kids on here liked it.SO gladImadeit
staring down 60, know good food when I taste it. This is delish, will be having for supper again tonight. :) Thinking about tossing a few handfuls of baby spinach in!
Absolutely delicious! Verdict made by two 37 year olds, an 11 year old, and 9 year old.
Fantastic. LOVE it. So easy to make. And I’m 71!!!
Added some sesame oil and it was delicious. Cooked the noodles for one minute less than the package directions.
I’m looking forward to lunch! I like the peanut butter idea, and the green onions. I’m 43 years old.
Are we suppose to use the seasoning packet included with the ramen noodles? Is there a brand of Korean Ramen you recommend?
hi,
you don’t need the seasoning packet! i like shin ramyun brand :)
Simple and tasty. I am 52 years old!
This was really good. I am 32 years old. I doubled the recipe because I was very hungry.
This was really good. I am 32 years old. I doubled the recipe because I was very hungry. 5 stars.
Very good. Added extra egg whites for protein, some corn that I had to use up, and some scallions. Also don’t have the EB seasoning so I just added sesame seeds. Delicious, easy, and super cheap. 26 years old, but having to make those dollars stretch right now, so this is a godsend.
Was so good, wish I had the scallions! Next time!
Certainly not the healthiest thing in the world but SO easy, delicious and satisfying. Comfort food at its best. Do add an abundant sprinkling of sliced green onions. I limit myself to once a week, but when I’m not eating it I’m thinking about the next time :) Addictive indeed!
Was really good. Forked them up quick. I’m 25 years old.
I used low sodium soy and doubled what it called for. I also added 1/8tsp of garlic powder. I found it easier to pour the egg over the noodles and let it cook that way.
I’m going to cook it I and will comment if it was nice 😊😊
Is it okay if u don’t use the everything bagel spice
absolutely, you can skip it :)
I don’t eat egg in my ramen, I save that for my stir fry so I skipped the egg. To keep this instant ramen I did everything in the microwave. If you add everything to your water before cooking you can make the sauce as you cook it and it’s ready to go when the noodles are cooked. Make sure you check on and stir your ramen as it cooks so you distribute the ingredients evenly. If you like less broth/sauce just drain it to your liking after. Cooking it this way thoroughly coats your noodles and saves you some time. If you must have the egg while your noodles are in the microwave you can cook up the egg and add it in at the end. If you don’t have fresh garlic and want to use garlic powder reduce the amount of garlic used in the recipe. I suggest using 1/2 tsp max. I didn’t have red chili pepper flakes so I used chili powder, if you can’t handle much spice just use a pinch of the chili powder otherwise 1/4 tsp is fine. Even with the alterations this ramen recipe turned out really good. I’ve tried a few different ramen recipes but this one I’d actually use again.
It’s unfortunate it’s so high calorie (when I put calories in it ended up being 635, but I added more stuff and used a higher cal ramen), because it’s delicious.
I did all the measurements the same except I added a tbsp of jarred garlic (I like garlic), scallions, white onion, and a 1/2 tbsp of brown sugar instead of 1 tsp. Heated it up in the butter until onions went translucent. Followed everything else to a T! It’ll become a guilty pleasure. Also I’m 24. 🤲
If you ate the entire recipe yourself–which is a big bellyful of noodles–that is a great deal of food for only 635 calories. Even if you went ramen-mad and started eating this meal three times a day, you would consume1905 Kcalories, which is a reasonable amount for an active 24-year-old woman per day. Of course, that would be a terribly unbalanced diet, lacking most important nutrients. Moderation in all things, including moderation.
I think I’ll try it with the onion you suggested and a squeeze of lime juice. I am 59 years old.
I found this to be quite tasty. I am 25 yrs. & 288 mos. old.
I quadrupled the recipe. I followed most of the measurements, but added ginger paste, sesame oil, and a splash of rice vinegar. Topped it with Sriracha mayo made with regular mayo, Sriracha, and a little maple syrup. This is a wonderful base recipe that is easy to customize!
This was hella bussin for real! I’m 15 years old :D
This was hella bussin for real! I’m 15 years old :D I’m eating it right now
this was as the kids say bussin.
i am 40 year old divorced dad living alone.
I really messed it up (overcooked noodles and scrambled egg directly in with the ramen🤦🏻♀️) and it was still edible. I am impressed with all the kids who are cooking. I am 47 years old.
I can cook very well. I just bought some ramen noodles and was trying to figure out how to spice them up and came across this recipe it’s sooooo good! I’m gonna add shrimp or steak next time
Absolute fire, bussin, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve made this. Also I’m 28
I am excited to try this. I am 20 years old.
Delicious but I will not reveal my age.
This was a 10/10. I’m 15 years old.
I made this for the first time, and it’s a tasty salty and umami flavor! I plan to make it again. I added frozen peas and green onions. I am 36 years old.
Have not tried yet, can’t wait. I am 80. The comments with age are a hoot. What a fun group you are.
This recipe is so good (I am 20 btw)! (Also I used regular sugar instead of brown sugar because I am a college kid who doesn’t have brown sugar in her pantry)
This sounds wonderful !!! Now to find affordable eggs =(. Thank you though for this easy and delicious sounding recipe. I think I’d add peas or pea pods and mushrooms. <3
So good. I could eat maybe 8 servings (and immediately regret it) its that delicious. I’m 22
omg…my daughter showed me this recipe and brown sugar with soy sauce made me gag. But I made it for her…and holy cow ive never been so wrong! This was amazing and I’M 39! LOL
I forgot to add the 5 stars LMAO
Loved not using the salty packet. I did as recipes stated minus no everything bagel as I don’t have it. That a bad thing? Lol next time I’ll double the sauce and add chopped peanuts for crunch. Delicious. I did a sunny side up egg on the side to give it a yolk sauce of sorts. Made 2 batches. Hubby, 51. Me, 49. Never too old for ramen noodles and love the lower “sodium” option. Thanks for the recipe!
I’m 100% going to try this I’m always looking for unique and fun foods to make.
So simple and delish! I love to add fresh grated ginger and scallions in my soy sauce combo, and veggies as needed. Kids and hubs love it. Made it a couple of times since I discovered this recipe. 44 years old!
Nice! I only gave it 4 stars for altering recipe. Low sodium soy sauce only needed. I would double the sauce. Pretty tasty and easy. But, (wait for it,) at the end, I added some Bachan’s Japanese BBQ Sauce. FANTASTIC!
I am late to this party but this was really awesome. Thank you for sharing.
I made this for my little sister and I, it’s really good, I did add a bit too much garlic though (still working on my cooking journey), but its really good and easy to make. I am 14 years old.
Nice and Tasty
I substituted gochujang for red pepper and added some kimchi, and opted for just sesame seeds and some dried parsley on top and it was so good.
I am 34.
This was so good! I doubled the sauce and quadrupled the red pepper flakes and I am now addicted. Also added cucumbers and let them fry while cooking the egg. Pretty sure I can’t feel my tongue now because of the spice 🥲 but was still amaaazzzziiiinnngggggg!!! As the teenagers say, “def recommend these heckin bussin noodles”
One of my favorite recipes. I double the sauce every time, it’s delicious. I am 23 years old.
This was SO delicious. I added shredded cheddar cheese to the top and I fried the egg instead of scrambling. 10/10 great fast breakfast meal
it was really good. i’m 9
Super easy and really tasty! Tripled the recipe for my boyfriend and I. Already thinking of ways to make it better the next time. I’m 22.
this is insanely, stupidly good. I am 49 years old.
Super delicious especially for just a quick lunch for the family. Especially if your a noodle fanatic like me! I added jumbo shrimp and crushed pecans on top with it🤷🏻♀️❤️
